Strengthening Our People Strategy: Welcome to Our New Group HR Director

Vorenta Appoints Jack Hartwell as Group HR Director

As part of its continued growth and commitment to a people-first culture, Vorenta is delighted to welcome Jacqueline (Jack) Hartwell as its new Group HR Director. Jack will provide strategic leadership across the group, supporting both HallMark Veterinary and Compliance Services and Meat & Livestock Classification (MLC).

With the group now employing nearly 300 people across the UK, the directors felt the time was right to bring in a dedicated senior leader to help shape the next phase of organisational development and ensure that people remain at the centre of everything we do.

Jack brings a wealth of HR leadership experience across diverse sectors including publishing, high-tech, life sciences, and professional services. A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, she has led global HR functions, overseen complex transformation programmes, and driven impactful people and talent strategies.

Most recently, Jack served as HR Operations Director at Centaur Media plc, where she led a significant organisational redesign. Prior to that, she held two roles as Global Head of HR, managing multi-national teams and delivering cultural and operational change at scale.

Jack was selected following a rigorous recruitment process involving several high-calibre candidates. Her energy, warmth, and clarity of thought made a lasting impression on the panel—and reflect the kind of leadership we believe is essential to nurturing our people-focused culture.

Patrick Steel, Group Managing Director, commented:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jack to Vorenta. Her depth of experience and natural people-centred approach are exactly what we need as we continue to grow sustainably and invest in our people across the group.”

Jack you may wish to include a short quote here such as :
“I felt a connection with the team at Vorenta right from my very first interaction; going from the authentic and respectful way people communicate with each other all the way through to the leadership team’s laser focus on doing what’s right and not just what’s needed. Now I’m on board I am looking forward to getting to know more colleagues across HallMark and MLCSL, and to playing my part in the evolution of our already purpose-driven community of people, ensuring we continue to foster an inclusive environment in which we all feel supported and empowered.”

We look forward to supporting Jack as she begins this new chapter with us and invite everyone across the group to extend a warm welcome.
