HallMark’s WW3 Team Hosts Summer BBQ
HallMark’s WW3 Team Hosts First Summer BBQ at Robinswood Hill
On Saturday 12 July 2025, HallMark’s WW3 team came together at Robinswood Hill in Gloucester for their first summer BBQ, a relaxed and well-attended afternoon marking the team’s recent transition into the new contract, which began in April.
With clear skies and temperatures reaching the year’s peak, the setting, nestled under the trees at the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust site, provided a fitting backdrop for colleagues, friends, and families to gather.
Attendees were simply asked to bring a picnic blanket or chair and enjoy the day.
A Well-Planned and Enjoyable Afternoon
The event was smoothly coordinated by Operations Managers Simina and Laura, with support from Resource Coordinator, Cristina, Senior Veterinary Manager, Beatrice, Area Veterinary Managers, Karolina and Mehmet, and Head of Official Controls, Luis. Thanks also go to SMHI Joe, the Team Leaders, and those who pitched in on the BBQ and logistics throughout the day.
Special mention goes to Karolina, who led a series of games and activities that encouraged broad participation and added to the relaxed, inclusive atmosphere.
Food, Music and Good Company
Alongside a varied spread of food and some cultural music (and a bit of dancing) the BBQ was a welcome opportunity to catch up with colleagues away from the pressures of work. It offered time to strengthen connections and acknowledge the progress made since the start of the new contract.
With many bringing along partners and children, the event had a genuine sense of community and inclusivity.
Celebrating Diversity
One notable feature of the afternoon was the diversity of the attendees. Fourteen nationalities were represented, reflecting the broad mix of backgrounds across the WW3 team and the wider HallMark culture. Nationalities included Argentinian, Brazilian, British, Bulgarian, Filipino, Ghanaian, Nigerian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Sudanese, Tunisian, and Turkish.
Looking Ahead
Feedback from the event has been very positive, with many commenting on how welcome they felt and how valuable it was to spend time together informally. A few early suggestions for next year’s event even included turning it into a weekend camping trip.
Thank You
Thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a success — and to those who couldn’t make it, we hope to see you next time.
This BBQ was more than just a pleasant day out. It was a clear example of HallMark’s culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and community.
