Summer Gathering Brings HallMark's Imports Team Together
On Saturday 4th July, 24 colleagues gathered in Ashford, Kent for HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services' imports team summer gathering, providing an opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the country.
The group met in the sunshine at the beer garden of the Curious Brewery & Taproom, enjoying an informal afternoon away from their day-to-day responsibilities at Border Control Posts.
Portal Official Veterinarians travelled from several of the locations where HallMark provides veterinary import controls, including Portsmouth, Southampton, Stansted, London and Dover. While many colleagues work remotely from one another, the event was a welcome chance to strengthen relationships, share experiences and spend time together in person.
HallMark's Portal Official Veterinarians play a vital role in protecting Great Britain's biosecurity by carrying out official import controls on products of animal origin entering the country. Their work helps prevent the introduction of animal diseases while supporting the safe movement of international trade.
The Dover team continues to play an important role on the frontline of Britain's biosecurity. You can read more about their work in our article, HallMark Vets on the Front Line Protecting Great Britain's Biosecurity at Dover (https://www.hallmarkvcs.com/news/hallmark-vets-on-the-front-line-protecting-great-britains-biosecurity-at-dover).
Events like this reflect HallMark's commitment to supporting its people and recognising the value of bringing colleagues together, even when they are based at ports across the country.
We would like to thank everyone who travelled to Ashford and helped make the evening such an enjoyable occasion.
