HallMark Lincolnshire Team Picnic Returns for 2026
After the success of last year’s first Lincolnshire team picnic, there was really only one thing to do… bring it back for round two!
On Saturday 8 August, our E1 Official Controls team came together once again at Hartsholme Country Park in Lincoln for an afternoon dedicated to connection, community and simply enjoying some well-earned time together away from the working day.
And with the summer weather very much delivering, it was a pretty perfect day for it.
Good food, good people and plenty of sunshine
Colleagues were joined by family and friends for a relaxed afternoon of delicious food, inclusive games, conversation and plenty of laughs in the beautiful surroundings of Hartsholme Country Park.
There was certainly no shortage of food – as the photos prove! – with pizzas taking over the picnic tables alongside plenty of other treats. Games brought out a little friendly competition, while our younger guests made excellent use of the open space (and the bubbles!).
But more importantly, the day gave everyone the chance to catch up, spend time together and strengthen the relationships that sit behind our day-to-day delivery.
From a new team to an annual tradition
Last year's picnic came during HallMark's first year delivering the E1 Official Controls contract. Following such positive feedback, we were keen to make it happen again in 2026.
A lot has happened since that first summer together, and occasions like this provide a chance to recognise just how far the team has come.
The day was coordinated by Simina, Operations Manager, with fantastic support from Area Veterinary Managers Onat and Bernadette, and Monika, Senior Meat Hygiene Inspector. A big thank you to them for the work behind the scenes that made the day possible.
We were also pleased to welcome Jacqueline Hartwell, HR Director, who joined the Lincolnshire team for the afternoon. Unfortunately, other members of the HallMark Director team were unable to attend this year, but sent their apologies and best wishes to everyone.
More than just a picnic
Our Official Controls teams work hard, often across different establishments and locations. Creating opportunities for colleagues to connect outside the workplace is an important part of building the strong, supportive culture we want across HallMark.
Bringing families and friends along makes these occasions even more special. It gives the people closest to our colleagues an opportunity to become part of the wider HallMark community too.
Thank you to everyone who came along, helped organise the day, brought food, joined the games or simply found a shady spot for a good chat.
Same park, another brilliant afternoon – and we have a feeling the Lincolnshire picnic might now officially be a tradition.
