April 2026: Making Things Better
Some months are defined by targets and deadlines. Others are shaped by the people who improve the way teams work, communicate and support each other along the way.
April’s Employee of the Month winners were recognised not simply for completing tasks well, but for the positive effect they had on the people and systems around them. Across the Group, they demonstrated initiative, teamwork and the type of forward-thinking attitude that helps organisations keep evolving.
🏆 Official Controls Winner – Alperen Cevizci
Official Veterinarian
Alperen is known within the team for his collaborative approach and willingness to support others whenever needed. In April, he worked alongside the AVM on a new initiative focused on better supporting OVs during escalations in enforcement activity.
At the same time, he also introduced another process-improvement proposal that will now progress through the Company’s Innovation Panel. His contribution this month reflects exactly the kind of progressive thinking and continuous-improvement mindset the Group wants to encourage.
🏆 MLC Winner – Alan Meadows
CSO2 – MLC Division
Ellie is often the first voice new starters hear — and increasingly, she is helping shape what they see next.
In February, she channelled her creativity and systems focus into the development of the Company’s new intranet, creating the design theme and collaborating with HR to build key management content. At the same time, she played an active role in shaping the new companywide LMS platform — refining the theme, finalising training content and helping prepare the system for launch two weeks ahead of schedule.
Her work this month centred on clarity, efficiency and communication — strengthening not just recruitment, but the entire employee journey.
🏆 Vorenta Winner – Ellie Dunnell
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Recruitment across multiple divisions brings constant movement, changing priorities and the need to balance both operational requirements and candidate experience.
In April, Ellie was recognised by hiring managers within MLC for the initiative and attention she brought to several recruitment campaigns. She invested time in understanding exactly what teams needed and maintained a positive, solutions-focused approach even when plans changed at short notice.
Her ability to manage both the hiring process and the people experience behind it helped create a smoother and more effective outcome for everyone involved.
A Shared Theme
Although their roles are very different, this month’s winners all contributed in ways that strengthened the people around them — through innovation, support, training and collaboration.
Alperen, Alan and Ellie each demonstrated the values that continue to shape the Vorenta Group: quality, integrity, openness and collaboration.
Congratulations to all three on a well-deserved recognition.
