HallMark Lincolnshire Team Picnic at Hartsholme Country Park 2025

HallMark Lincolnshire Team Picnic at Hartsholme Country Park
Saturday 16th August 2025

The E1 Official Controls team in Lincolnshire came together for a much-needed moment of connection, community, and celebration at Hartsholme Country Park. With the sun shining and the lake glistening nearby, the setting provided the perfect backdrop for our summer team picnic.

From mid-morning onwards, team members and their families arrived, picnic baskets in hand and smiles on their faces. It was more than just a break from work—it was an opportunity to reconnect as colleagues and get to know each other as people. For many, it was the first time meeting face-to-face with colleagues they’d only known through screens or phone calls. Friendly introductions quickly turned into laughter, meaningful conversations, and a sense of shared purpose.

The day was beautifully coordinated by Simina, Operations Manager, with fantastic support from Senior Veterinary Manager Rita, AVMs Onat and Bernadette, and Senior Meat Inspector Monika. A special thank you goes to our Head of Official Controls, Luis, for his presence and encouragement, and to all our team leaders who joined in and helped make everyone feel welcome.

Some standout moments from the day included:

  • Inclusive games and icebreakers led by Pelin, bringing together staff of all ages and backgrounds. The games broke down barriers and created moments of joy and camaraderie.

  • A multicultural food table, bursting with flavour and variety. Homemade dishes lovingly prepared by team members reflected the cultural richness of the E1 team. Sharing food opened doors to new conversations and shared stories about home and heritage.

  • Open dialogue and informal chats with managers, where team members had the chance to speak freely, share experiences, and reflect on the journey so far. It was a moment to feel heard, to express appreciation, and to suggest ideas for the future.

The picnic reminded us all of the value of human connection in our work. As we move forward together in delivering high standards of Official Controls, we do so not just as colleagues, but as a team that understands, respects, and supports one another.

Thank you to everyone who made this day a success. And to those who couldn’t make it, we missed you and hope to see you at the next one!
