HallMark Wins 2025 Great Veterinary Workplace Award

HallMark Wins 2025 Great Veterinary Workplace Award for Excellence in Veterinary Public Health

We are incredibly proud to announce that HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services has been awarded the 2025 Great Veterinary Workplace Award in the Large Non-Clinical Workplace category by the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) and VetJoy.

This prestigious Europe-wide award celebrates veterinary workplaces that go above and beyond to create innovative, supportive, and purpose-driven environments, whether in clinics, labs, public health, or regulatory settings.

HallMark was recognised “in recognition of its exceptional work environment, commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and dedication to professional development; VetJoy celebrates this workplace as veterinary excellence.”

“This award is a testament to our mission-driven team working behind the scenes to protect public health, food safety, and animal welfare. It reflects the integrity, dedication, and resilience of everyone at HallMark and across the wider Vorenta Group.”
Diego Sprekelsen, Operations Director

Leading the Way in Veterinary Public Health

At HallMark, we deliver official veterinary services that protect public health, uphold animal welfare, and ensure the safety of the UK’s food supply. From Export Health Certification, Border Official Controls, Survey& Research Sampling, Specialist Resourcing, Agricultural Inspections, Poultry Disease Management to , Official Controls in abattoirs, our work spans the full spectrum of veterinary public health—often behind the scenes, but always vital.

Our team of Official Veterinarians, Meat Hygiene Inspectors, and technical experts operates across the UK, united by a shared mission: protecting animals, people, and the planet.

What’s Next?

We will be officially recognised during the FVE 50th Anniversary Symposium in Brussels on 4th December 2025, where Managing Director Patrick Steel and Operations Director Diego Sprekelsen will represent the team.

We also plan to use the award as a platform to:

  • Launch a campaign raising awareness of non-clinical veterinary careers, especially in public health

  • Share stories from our team working in Official Controls, meat inspection, and export roles

  • Inspire a new generation of veterinary professionals to explore these impactful pathways

We’ll soon share team photos and a behind-the-scenes look at the people behind our success. In the meantime, you can learn more about the award and see other winners on the VetJoy Workplace Award page.
