HallMark at RVC Careers Fair 2026

On 11 February 2026, HallMark joined the Careers Fair at the Royal Veterinary College in London, spending the day speaking with students curious about where their veterinary degree might take them.

Representing HallMark were Rita Boto, Senior Veterinary Manager, and Bernadethe Latcu, Area Veterinary Manager. Across the afternoon, conversations covered Official Veterinary careers, Official Controls, exports, imports and graduate opportunities — with a particular focus on public health.

One topic surfaced repeatedly: what does a career in public health actually involve? For many students, it is still a lesser-known pathway. The discussions gave space to explain the practical reality of the role and how it supports food safety, animal health and welfare and public confidence. There was clear interest in understanding whether this route is accessible to new graduates, and the answer was a reassuring yes.

Alongside the conversations, students were invited to scan a QR code to join HallMark’s careers pipeline and stay informed about future opportunities. Seventeen students signed up on the day. Those who joined were also entered into a prize draw to win a HallMark hamper, adding a light competitive edge to the stand. Leaflets, branded bags, notebooks and coffee mugs travelled well around the fair, but it was the dialogue that stayed with people.

Events like this are an opportunity to widen the lens on what veterinary careers can look like. The fair created space for honest, practical discussions and helped increase awareness that public health is a viable and welcoming pathway for new graduates.

HallMark looks forward to continuing to meet students as they shape their future careers.
