HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services is thrilled to announce the expansion of our Portal Official Veterinary team in the South of England, in response to increasing demand for our specialised Import Veterinary Controls services. We're seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to fill roles in Dover, Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth, and Newhaven, marking a significant phase in our growth and commitment to excellence in Portal Official Veterinarian Import Control Services across the UK.

We're Looking For:

  • Veterinarians with a BSc or MSc in Veterinary Medicine

  • RCVS membership

  • OCQ(V) – ES (Essential Skills), EX (Exports General) & PX (Products Exports) qualifications.

  • Individuals with a strong understanding of the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ethical customer care.

  • Team players who are reliable, flexible, and possess a valid driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation of veterinary border controls for Products of Animal Origin (POAOs), and accountable for taking the decision on the outcome of those controls.

  • To execute all duties involving the enforcement of Statutes, Regulations and other legal requirements relating to applicable border controls.

  • To maintain a detailed knowledge of all relevant UK and EU legislation, DEFRA, FSA, and relevant guidance.

  • To advise food business operators and undertake export certification, as authorised Official Veterinarians, on International Trade of POAOs subject to restrictions, either to Third Countries or to the EU.
